Imatinib Mesylate Use: For the treatment of chronic phase myelogenous leukemia (CML) blast crisis, accelerated phase or chronic phase after failure of alpha-interferon treatment. Imatinib Mesylate Dosage: Starting dose: The recommended dose of imatinib mesylate in patients with blast crisis and accelerated phase of CML is 600 mg/day; patients with chronic phase failure of interferon therapy fail to undergo surgical resection or occur For patients with metastatic malignant gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), the recommended dose is 400 mg/day. They are given once a day orally. They should take the medicine at mealtime and drink a large glass of water. As long as they are effective, they should be taken continuously. . If there is no serious adverse drug reaction if the blood permits, the dose may be increased from 400 mg/day to 600 mg/day or 600 mg/day to 800 mg/day (400 mg divided into 2 doses) in the following cases. : The disease progressed, the treatment failed to obtain a satisfactory hematological response after at least 3 months, and the achieved hematological response disappeared again.
